Seasonal Change
The new year or start of term is a great time to explore seasonal change with pupils. It could be a dandelion through a day or week to discover how their clocks form, the seasonal change of a wild patch or meadow through a month, or a year in the life of a deciduous tree.
As part of the KS2 science curriculum you could link this study of seasonal change to Charles Darwin – see the Murmuration of Wonder project for how other schools are doing this.
